With the intention to relax, take a gentle breath in and slowly let it out. Gently breathe in again filling your lungs to capacity then very slowly let the air out. This time quietly and gently breathe in through your nose until your lungs are fully expanded then release the air little by little until your lungs are completely empty. You now are relaxed.
Many of you are oxygen deprived as a result of the stressful lives you lead. Learning to breathe properly can revitalize you during the day and help relax you at night. Your breath is the human life-giving force filling your lungs allowing your blood to oxygenate feeding your body and brain what it needs to survive.
The deeper you breathe in the better. The more old air you exhale out of your lungs, the more room it makes for new, fresh air to enter. Use your breath to relax!
